BIOGRAPHY

Painter. Graphic artist writes portraits, landscapes, still lifes, genre paintings. Works in the technique of oil painting, gouache, watercolors, creates a series of pencil portraits, animalistic drawings.
Born on May 25, 1939 in the city of Gomel, Byelorussian SSR. Was brought up in an orphanage. In 1942 he lived in evacuation at the "Mirny" state farm in the Orenburg region, where he was adopted by a school teacher Maria Mikhailovna Kashigina. After the war he graduated from high school and vocational school. He mastered many working professions. Until 1989 he worked as a firefighter in the city of Orsk.

He began his creative life as an amateur artist.
In 1963 - 1968 - he studied at ZNUI (National Extramural University named after N.K. Krupskaya) in Moscow, from which he graduated with honors.
Since 1963 - participant and diploma winner of numerous regional, regional, All-Russian, All-Union, as well as foreign exhibitions in Germany (1975, 1978), Czechoslovakia (1975), Poland (1975), Perm, Yekaterinburg and many other cities. He is actively involved in exhibition activities to this day.
Since 1993 - Esaul of the White Union of Cossack Troops
Since 1995 - member of the Union of Artists of Russia
He worked in the houses of creativity of the Union of Artists of the USSR ("Goryachiy Klyuch", "Chelyuskinskaya", Moscow Region)
Since 2000 - a member of the International Association of Fine Arts - AIAP UNESCO Lives in the city of Novotroitsk, Orenburg region.

In the rating of the Union of Artists of Russia, he is ranked 4a - a working artist with good potential.

In the city of Novotroitsk, in the building of the metallurgical technical school, there is a permanent exhibition-museum of Anatoly Kashigin.

Until 2013, I rented a workshop for Anatoly Kashigin, supplied everything that was necessary for his work. After 2013, due to various circumstances, we terminated our cooperation. In the near future I will try to find out in which exhibitions the artist took part in the following years and will supplement the text. Around 2003, I ordered a small review of Kashigin by the senior art critic of the Tretyakov Gallery, Elizaveta Efremova - you can read it under the button.
